Life at MindValley, from an Insider’s Perspective 0

Alexandra Cattoni, one of my managers at MindValley just started her new blog. You have to love her style and attitude. picture-3Personally, I love the fact that she’s living a life that’s the epitome of what I’m trying to create with my work-culture experiments at MindValley.

Here’s her bio from the blog.

I work with an amazing online publishing company called MindValley where I manage and grow a multi-million dollar a year personal development business online. When I’m not at Starbucks working some marketing magic on my MacBook, you’ll find me doing one of the many other things I am passionate about: traveling, diving, writing, photography, surfing, dancing or wake boarding. Sound fun? It is.

For me, life is all about living and I wake up every morning with this mantra echoing in every corner of my mind. I’m a member of an elite group of “go-getters” that Tim Ferris (author of “The 4-Hour Work Week”) refers to as the “New Rich.” Not rich with money (although money is definitely not something I worry about), but rich with time and mobility to do whatever the hell I want, whenever the hell I want. This is the reason behind why, at the age of 23, I have already lived in 3 different continents, traveled to over 120 cities in 23 different countries and am able to travel somewhere new almost every single month.

I am not going to lie.

Life. is. good.

On Necker Island with Richard Branson 0

If you could meet anyone in the world and spend an entire day with them who would you choose?

My top three choices are:

  1. Barack Obama
  2. Richard Branson
  3. it’s a tie between Nelson Mandela, the Dalai Lama and Natalie Portman (hey, I’m a guy)

So I was absolutely ecstatic to get a chance to spend 5 days on Richard Branson’s Necker Island this May. And this wasn’t your regular Necker Island stay. This private island owned by Branson gets visitors like Orlando Bloom, Mariah Carey, Bill Gates and more at a cost of $350,000 a week. (or roughly $50,000 a night). And that’s just for a regular hotel-style stay with no guarantee of actually meeting Branson.

I got a chance to spend 5 days there with a group of entrepreneurs. With Branson present from breakfast to post-parties for 3 nights straight. It was an amazing time.

And finally, a video of the trip. Lovingly crafted from the footage on my Flipcam.

  • About Vishen

    Picture of Vishen Lakhiani

Intense, a little bit crazy, and damn good at what he does, Vishen Lakhiani is a major influence in the field of personal development. At the tender age of 33, he has already built a multimillion dollar company, created one of the world’s top workspaces and has become a highly requested speaker in the fields of marketing and entrepreneurship.

It began a few years ago when he decided to quit his high-flying career at Silicon Valley and start his own bedroom business publishing self-growth programs online. But as business grew, so did his vision.

Vishen’s quest is to redesign the global education system and heighten human consciousness by combining marketing and technology to help spread enlightened ideas. It’s no wonder that he’s a marketing and technology consultant to some of the world’s top authors and thinkers in personal and business transformation.

As a highly successful online entrepreneur, there is some method to his madness, making him one of the most sought after speakers in the world of online business building. He has been invited to speak at prestigious events like the Transformational Leadership Council and at Tony Robbin’s Ultimate Business Mastery Summit.

This year Vishen expands his vision into 2 additional companies, Project GiftED, a company that seeks to bring new idea on parenting and early infant education to the mass market; and MindValley Hispanic, which publishes personal development products for the Latin American market.
