My Newest Venture : AwesomenessFest 0

Given how popular our MindValley Team Retreats are turning out to be, I wanted to see if I could pull of something similar but on a larger scale. The end vision is AwesomenessFest. I'm going to bring 300 people to a beach in Costa Rica and organize a festival dedicated to personal growth, connecting and bonding.

The vision is to build the next TED style organizaiton. But combining it with fun, parties, and adventures in paradise locations. The idea is to connect high achieving individuals across different industries and teach them the skills to further magnify their impact.

Video below explains more.

A snippet from my speech at EngageToday 2010 in Calgary. Maybe admitting this in public was not wise? :-)

10 Ways We Bring on the “Flow” at MindValley 1

This is an extract from my speech at EngageToday 2009, where I had the pleasure of sharing the stage with Richard Branson, The Dalai Lama, President FW De Klerk and many other brilliant thought leaders.

In this speech, I expand upon the concept of "Flow" and talk about how we use the concept of Consciousness Engineering to enhance the performance of my team at MindValley. It's based on two things: first giving people bold visions. Next, teaching people how to be 'Happy in the Now'. In this video I reveal 10 ways we do this at our company. This presentation was voted by the audience as one of the best presentations of the entire EngageToday 2009 event. Enjoy!

On Necker Island with Richard Branson 0

If you could meet anyone in the world and spend an entire day with them who would you choose?

My top three choices are:

  1. Barack Obama
  2. Richard Branson
  3. it's a tie between Nelson Mandela, the Dalai Lama and Natalie Portman (hey, I'm a guy)

So I was absolutely ecstatic to get a chance to spend 5 days on Richard Branson's Necker Island this May. And this wasn't your regular Necker Island stay. This private island owned by Branson gets visitors like Orlando Bloom, Mariah Carey, Bill Gates and more at a cost of $350,000 a week. (or roughly $50,000 a night). And that's just for a regular hotel-style stay with no guarantee of actually meeting Branson.

I got a chance to spend 5 days there with a group of entrepreneurs. With Branson present from breakfast to post-parties for 3 nights straight. It was an amazing time.

And finally, a video of the trip. Lovingly crafted from the footage on my Flipcam.

  • About Vishen

    Picture of Vishen Lakhiani

Intense, a little bit crazy, and damn good at what he does, Vishen Lakhiani is a major influence in the field of personal development. At the tender age of 33, he has already built a multimillion dollar company, created one of the world’s top workspaces and has become a highly requested speaker in the fields of marketing and entrepreneurship.

It began a few years ago when he decided to quit his high-flying career at Silicon Valley and start his own bedroom business publishing self-growth programs online. But as business grew, so did his vision.

Vishen’s quest is to redesign the global education system and heighten human consciousness by combining marketing and technology to help spread enlightened ideas. It’s no wonder that he’s a marketing and technology consultant to some of the world’s top authors and thinkers in personal and business transformation.

As a highly successful online entrepreneur, there is some method to his madness, making him one of the most sought after speakers in the world of online business building. He has been invited to speak at prestigious events like the Transformational Leadership Council and at Tony Robbin’s Ultimate Business Mastery Summit.

This year Vishen expands his vision into 2 additional companies, Project GiftED, a company that seeks to bring new idea on parenting and early infant education to the mass market; and MindValley Hispanic, which publishes personal development products for the Latin American market.
